AUniversiade City that is modern and advanced by international standards will stand amid blue lakes and green mountains in Longgang District, Shenzhen, by early 2011. If Shenzhen is lucky enough to host the 2011 Universiade summer session, the Universiade City, complete with various facilities, will certainly be the most important venue for the great event.

    The Universiade City will be located in the western part of the Longgang District Center, about 15 kilometers away from Shenzhen's city center. The rolling Shenxian and Tonggu Ridges constitute a natural green shield, while the rippling Longkou Reservoir brims over with immense vitality, with the Universiade City sitting amid the hills and lakes.A network of roads runs through the vicinity of the Universiade City, capable of meeting the transportation needs for a world-class sports event.

    Covering 13.7 square kilometers of land, the Universiade City will incorporate sports, residence, education, culture, commerce, tourism and recreation. The Universiade Park will constitute an important part of the Universiade City. The 7-square-kilometer park will mainly comprise the Universiade Center (including the Main Stadium, the Main Gymnasium and the Natatorium), a forest park, a reservoir and the business, residential and service areas.     2011年初，一座具有国际先进水平的现代化大学生体育城，将在龙岗区美丽的湖光山色之中建成，辅之以配套完善的相关设施，如果申办成功，充分体现着时尚元素与自然风光完美结合的深圳大学生体育城，将会作为第26届世界大运会的核心区域。

    大学生体育城位于龙岗区中心城的西区，距离市中心区15公里。这里依山傍水，神仙岭、铜鼓岭构成一道天然绿色屏障，龙口水库碧波荡漾，体育城点缀山水之间。大学生体育城周边区域道路交通网密集，四通八达，完全能够满足举办世界级大型运动会的交通需要。

    大学生体育城占地13.7平方公里，集体育运动、居住、教育、文化、商业和旅游休闲为一体。大学生体育公园是体育城的重要组成部分，占地7平方公里，主要由大学生体育中心（包括主体育场、主体育馆、游泳馆等）、森林公园、水库、居住区等组成。在这里，体育与文化设施融入山水之间，人与自然互相交融。（吴炎）
